Coming Events and Museums

2008 events | Museum & Collection listing

Introduction

Due to the resignation of our researcher we have suspended our usual Pocket Book of Coming Events until further notice, and since the end of 2006, have suspended the events listing altogether, for which we apologise. If anyone out there is willing to edit an event listing for inclusion on this site, please contact the .

The preparation of the normal listing involves contacting hundreds of rally organizers and museum & collection owners and updating the information on them. We would welcome offers of help in this task.

The 2008 event listing is a special to commemorate our Golden Jubilee year.

Details of most rallies can be found in the Society's frequent contribution to the pages of the World's Fair newspaper, published each Friday. "FOPS Notes" is written by Peter Haywood who is always pleased to receive written details for inclusion in the column, at 49 Nottingham Road, Kegworth, Derby, DE74 2FH. Also, the iMOD forum has an events section here.

The Fair Organ Preservation Society, as publisher of this listing, takes every care to ensure its accuracy but advises anyone intending to travel to an event or museum mentioned in it that the Society cannot be held responsible for loss of any kind resulting from errors or omissions, or failure of the event itself.

If you write to FOPS or an event organizer requesting information, please remember to enclose an SAE if you want a reply.

We have not included a listing of rides with organs since the year 2000, as reliable information on most of these have not been forthcoming. We need someone with a passion for this aspect of our hobby to help by gathering this information for us.
