I just received a notification from Facebook "Fair Organ Talk" that our old friend Norman Smith, who maintained the magnificent Whites Gavioli has passed away.

The post was made by Philip Upchurch and read:

I am sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news friends, but i have just received a phone call informing me that our friend Norman Smith passed away last night. Norman as you all know was the main man in keeping Whites Big Gavi in the superb condition we see it today. My condolences go to Normans family he will be sadly missed by all that knew him. R.I.P Norman.

Another Dedicated Organ enthusiast has sadly passed away.
Norman was a quiet unassuming Gentleman who was respected by all who knew him and will be missed by everyone.
Condolences to his Family and friends.

Norman Smith's funeral is on Thursday 24th January. St Andrews Church. Bishop Auckland.
