Post subject:  Using the Public Forum...

If you are not a registered member of the FOPS Discussion Forum and you wish to make a post on the Public Forum, a "Visual Confirmation" (VC) code will appear above the Submit button. This must be entered before your post is accepted. This is to prevent automated posts from Spam-Bots.

If you have any difficulty reading the graphic, you could try generating another one by leaving the code box blank and clicking on the 'Preview' button. A warning message will be displayed in red above the editing box saying "The confirmation code was incorrect", but a new VC graphic will have been displayed for you to enter. If you are unable to read any VC graphics, you could contact the Webmaster and I will forward the message for you, but please ensure that you provide me with your full identity.

If you are a member of the FOPS Discussion Forum, you can make posts on the Public Forum without being logged in, but if you do, please don't use your registered Username when posting, because the system will think you are trying to post as someone else and reject the message (it doesn't know that it is you!).

In fact, you do not need to enter a Username anyway, it will simply be shown as "Guest" when the post is viewed, although the Forum Rules request that you enter your real name to prevent anonymous messages. If you do not use a username, please identify yourself in your post.

If you are a member, just log in and post normally...then the post will show that you made it.
