Here are some photos of an organ bought as a basket case about 10 years ago from an auction of fairground artifacts. It played at one time from a scale similar to 46k but with only 6 bass notes (44k?). There is a small quantity of music with it, some from Arthur Prinsen. The bass & percussion is at the hinge end of the keyframe with the top notes at the open end.

John Page & Judith Howard have done some work already on the planning, keyframe, pipework & bellows. I shall be continuing the job & hope to get the organ playing by spring 2011. It was decided to rebuild it to the standard 46/48 keyless format as the keyframe was so rough. The top board of the reservoir has a Gavioli sticker on it with what looks like blank French invoices on the underside for sealing.

Does anyone recognise the front? Some of it is home made but the main section is from some sort of organ. The case has been cut down in depth & has 2 removable panels each end. The drum wings are home made I think.

The facade is bruder'ish.

Yes it's similar to Andrew leaches' Bruder but not quite the same. Isn't there a Mortier design like that?

Hello Everyone,

Here are some more photos of the instrument I am working on at the moment. If anyone can give us any info it would be appreciated, as the history of this instrument is unknown before the owner bought it at an auction (bereavement sale) around Leicester in 2000. It was built as a 44k organ, there are a few Prinsen books with it, but it is being rebuilt to the standard 46kl scale.

I have uploaded some more photos. The organ now has a keyframe & primary chest all fitted & tubed up. The pipe chests are in & I have started to put the pipes in. I have also cleaned up the drums which appear to have been made in Germany in the 1920s.
