Post subject:  "De Witte" Page & Howard Organ in good form

John Ravert had De Witte, the "Dutch street organ" built by Page and Howard some years ago, at the COAA (Carousel Organ Association of America) Rally at LeRoy, New York State, USA this past weekend.

It looks good and plays well, thanks to Ravert's skillful work on it. John is a professional piano and organ repair man.

Thankfully, De Witte was not one of the two dozen or so machines which John lost last winter in a house fire. He and his wife had a player piano running as a lullaby machine when they went to bed. The piano motor caught fire and they lost much of their home and a lot of musical machines. He is still rebuilding.
