Hi there,
Once again the winter is with us and boy what a cold spell it is.The last time I experienced one like this was i think about 15 years since I can remember a snow fall like we just had,not being able to get out today I thought what better way than to share my views with fellow enthusiasts.

I am a bit perplexed to learn that there still is volunteer for the post of "OLD GLORY"correspondent,we need an outlet such as this magazine who gave us space in their monthly and a long battle was fought to get this.It sometimes makes me wonder whether all is lost as no one has come forward to take this post up.I had to reluctently give the post up myself a few years ago but would be willing to take up the position again if no one is forthcoming.Thats about it from me I hope this made interesting reading please let me know if you liked this or not.

The road conditions are as bad as it gets in our area in fact I am unable to move the car without digging it out of 7 inches of snow so I will just turn the wick up under the boiler and stay put till things improve. It is dangerous to try to drive at the moment even though the gritters have been busy all day.Its certainly not Organ Grinding weather,
I dont know whether the Committee have got anyone in mind for "Old Glory" Nick why not contact the Chairman.
Regards
George

Hi Folks.

Yes, the same here, I walked it to my workshop to be on the safe side, we must have had at least 6 inches or more since last night.

The local park almost looked like it had been sprayed with snow for a film set!
