Hello everyone,

I am delighted to announce that on Sunday the 14th of March we will be holding a very special open day at the Scarborough Fair Collection.

This will see the official launch of the latest mechanical organ to join the collection (see other thread in 'General Discussions'), as well as continual music from all of the mechanical organs in the collection.

We are also lucky to have members of the Fairground Society providing a fairground model show in support of the launch of our own vintage fairground models which include a very fine Scenic, Gallopers and Bioscope show and we will be operating the full size vintage fairground rides at regular intervals.

Admission is just £5.00 per adult and FREE to all under 16's and there will be no additional charge for the rides. Doors will be open from 10.30 to 17.00 and refreshments and a licenced bar will be available.

For those who have not visited before the address is:
Scarborough Fair Collection,
Flower of May Holiday Park,
Lebberston Cliff,
Scarborough,
North Yorkshire,
YO11 3NU.

If anybody would like further details then please feel free to contact me by PM.

Best wishes,

Trevor.

Hello everyone,

Just a quick update to let you all know that the 78 key Mortier is now fully built up and following a visit from Jonny Ling it is playing absolutely suberb!

This organ has a very special sound that is quite different to the later style of Mortier's, so it really is worth coming along to hear it this Sunday if you can.

Also of course there will be music from the 14 other mechanical organs, steam engines, fairground rides and a model show to keep you entertained as well.

Best wishes,

Trevor.
