Hi all,
Seems like ages since I have posted anything to a website but I hope this is a massive success for the society as well as our moderator Dave Stubbs.
Now to buisiness,I don't know whether i maaged to get round to everyone at the last meeting but an important piece of news that has come top me in the shape of a set of gallops at the Trafford Centre(Barton Square). They are situated just passed the ice drome and when I visited them prior to our meeting at Shaw Hall they were playing well but there didn't seem to be any percussion I think it had been disconnected cause of the close proximity of the organ to the shops. Now that reminds me of some other ocurances like that involving organs, but more of that in a later post.
I was in discussion with Dave(webmaster) at the last meeting and he thought it sounded a good idea if all the group rallies be transferd onto video(the early ones that I recorded that is). There is a wealth of imformation on them and it would seem a shame if they just sank without trace. So with that in mind I will donate all the master videos that were mainly shot in s.v.h.s. to the group for safe storage in the archives, there is also some film footage from the Cuckoo clock museum.

Hi Nick

Thanks for your post. Hopefully this will be the first of many on this new 'venture'. Always assuming that we can persuade people to start using it!

Frank Dawson mentioned the gallopers at the Trafford Centre, but we decided it was a bit too late to have a look when we were on our way home from the meeting. Maybe someone will take a picture and post it on here.

Please don't forget to identify yourself in your posts (Rule A1), as it was decided that will prevent anonymous messages...although I knew who you were from your registration details, so that passed part of the rules requirements!

Hi Nick :tiphat:

Any idea who's Gallopers they are ?

Great idea to keep a record of the past activities of the NW Group in the archives.

Regards
George :grinder:

Hi George

I know the reply is a little bit late but the gallopers that were at the Trafford Centre belonged to Brett Graham of BKG Leisure from Nottingham, they operate quite a lot of vintage equipment inc a cakewalk, lighthouse slip etc.

Nice to see the forum up & running again George.

Best wishes
Albert
