This is a photo from the Alan Ralphs Collection (now in my custody)of members of the FCSF some of who were founder members of FOPS. Can anyone identify those not named especially the young boys? Regards George.

George Parmley with Whites Gavioli as received from Barry Island.jpg [ 49.78 KiB | Viewed 31444 times ]
What a task for George Palmley to get this monster, (which was on solid tyres) from Barry Island in Wales up to the North East without a mishap, and then restore it to playing condition. I think there is a good story in there somewhere

Hi David. Here is a picture taken during the restoration process of Whites Gavioli in the 1950s:

Hi George.
Thank for the 'plug'!
I noticed on that picture with the dancers that there is a public address speaker in front of the organ. Having heard the Marenghi at the Widnes Rally recently, I don't think the PA would have been for the organ!

Probably for the M C to announce " Please take your partners for the next dance " It was all nice and polite way back then.
